Beautiful Rain

Sometimes watching the world through fogs and drizzle can be surprisingly beautiful. The view in front of my eyes becomes blurry as the rain has washed away its details, but somehow I can see myself better like the eyes of a hawk. Strangely enough, things that seem to obscure your sensory perceptions like the rain and fogs, instead sharpen my insights. When people quietly drowse by their window sills, spending every minute of their rainy days in total depression, my heart sings and meaningful words dance in my mind, speaking of beautiful words. Perhaps my invisible implanted button to change into Romantic Mode is pushed when it rains.
I can't describe how beautiful it is, how different my feelings change when it rains. Have you ever observed things that you see in your everyday life, things that are so mundane to you like that tree standing unnoticeable, or that fretting wooden bench roasted by the scorching sun, suddenly beautified? The tree now looks lively, its soaked leaves and branches grow brighter green. The bench grins with a proud polish as it embraces the cold puddle on its surface. There is love everywhere.
When it rains, the air seems to be fresher, things around you seem to be more real and that little bird inside you begins to chirp. Your lungs greedily take in the new cool air as much as it can. Instead of just one tree, the fat raindrops on the glass window duplicate it into countless tiny ones. The world looks beautifully distorted. Your fingertips feel cold against the hazy window. And you just know you're happy.
Viewing the world through haziness brings me in touch with reality within myself. It is a joyful moment to gently pull my inner self's hand out and invite her to sit on that comfortable sofa. We have a long talk about almost everything from stars to dust, dreams to reality, love to sadness, and most importantly, about ourselves. It is the most honest conversation we can ever have. We talk, we listen, we comfort, and we understand each other as we entirely open up. At the end of the rain, we unite and walk on this planet with more confidence from better understanding.
Seeing the world through hazy rain can be really peaceful if we let ourselves feel.~
